Invite Gordon to speak

Talks for golf clubs, sports dinners, literary festivals, libraries, bookshops, corporate events & audiences who love a great story

Gordon is available as a speaker to talk about his five decades in the sports industry, working firstly as a sports writer then as a communications director and PR consultant.

His reflections are peppered with anecdotes of his meetings – some good, some not so much! – with many of the world’s more famous figures from a number of sports.

He will also talk about his writing and self-publishing journey,  and taking a publishing route avoiding many of the traditional methods.

Gordon is also available for media interviews about his career and his golf-related crime novel, ‘Four Deadly Swings’.

The Details

Talk length
From 20-45 minutes, plus a Q&A session to follow. There’s no time limit – just whatever works for you. If a fee is involved, please speak to Gordon directly.
Audience
Gordon’s talks work for anyone who loves a good story. You don’t need to know a driver from a putter — his five decades in sport gave him a front-row seat to the characters, the chaos, and the moments that never made the back page. From junior sports writer to experiencing the Ryder Cup behind the scenes, he’s got the anecdotes to prove it. Golf knowledge useful – but absolutely not required.
Format

All talks are in-person, as opposed to virtual events. Screen,  projector and microphone are required for full-length talks. Gordon is happy to travel from his Berkshire home and to stay for a book signing afterwards.
